About the Awards

These Awards are part of the REC’s Institute of Recruitment Professionals and are designed to celebrate excellence in recruitment.  This exciting event will be held immediately after the REC’s annual National Convention at the Lancaster, London on Thursday 29th September 2011.

Shortlisted finalists will be announced on Friday 1st July 2011.  No information on the overall winner for each category will be given out prior to the Awards ceremony taking place.

The winner of each category will receive an award and a certificate.  Results will be recorded in a Judges’ Report; post awards publications and on the IRP, REC websites and relevant publications.

The closing date for entries is Friday 17th June 2011 and full details on how to enter can be found by clicking hereIf you are not already a member, further details on how to join can be found online at  www.rec-irp.uk.com.

The Judges

The judging panel will consist of representatives from REC, IRP, and other respected industry leaders.

We will have an independent Chair who will facilitate the process but will take no part in the judging process.

Method of Judging

The process will be in two parts, with each entry being considered independently and impartially by our panel of judges whose task it is to narrow the applications down to finalists in each category.

  • First stage - initial judging and selection process
  • Second stage - final judging to select the winner in each category

Highly commended awards will be at the judges’ discretion. There will be one winner per category.

The judges will take into consideration the merit of the entries and the extent to which the entries meet the relevant award criteria.

The decision of the judging panel is final. No correspondence will be entered into. The judges reserve the right to move an entry from one category to another.

The names of members who have submitted entries for the IRP Awards may be published in the list of entrants.  Finalists and Winners will also be published on the IRP, REC websites and in various relevant publications.

Data Protection
